Detailed Analysis
Research indicates that Arachidonic Acid and Eicosenoic Acid can be taken together without significant interaction. A study found that a high concentration of aspirin, which partially inhibits peroxidase activity, greatly enhances the lipoxygenation of eicosaenoic acids in human platelets. Arachidonic Acid also increases this lipoxygenation. No mechanism described, but lipoxygenation is a biochemical process where an enzyme called lipoxygenase adds oxygen to a fatty acid, in this case, eicosaenoic acids.
